Amazon Planning To Hire 125,000 New Workers

Amazon announced this week that it plans to hire 125,000 new workers to help bolster its Warehouses, and they are also looking for new delivery drivers. While it may not be work from home, this may be an opportunity for some to consider as driver jobs can lend a little bit more flexibility in schedule.

What’s more exciting is that right now, Amazon typically starts people at $15 per hour, and they have plans to increase that to $18 per hour, and they are offering sign on bonuses of $3000 in some locations.

If Amazon driver or warehouse jobs may not be the best fit for you, Amazon was looking to fill as many as 40,000 corporate and tech jobs earlier this month, and some of these positions may allow remote work. Amazon does have a significant portion of its work force that is able to work remotely.

As a company, Amazon continues to experience growth, which is why they are continually needing to add bodies to their workforce. Along with other companies like Target and Walmart, Amazon is offering different incentives to try and lure more talent to the company.

The labor shortage that economists are struggling to fully understand may present some good options if you are looking for a job, or perhaps just looking for a better job. Many companies have adopted quick hiring strategies, sign on bonuses, and increased pay as incentives to get good people in the door. This environment creates a potential situation where you can choose a job that seems like the best fit for you rather than having to choose a job simply out of need.

If you are looking to work for one of the world’s best known brands, now couldn’t be a better time with the amount of positions Amazon is looking to fill, as well as the increases in pay and benefits they are offering new employees. Amazon’s career page can be easily found by navigating a quick search on the web, or you can navigate directly to Amazon’s main site and scroll to the Careers section at the bottom of their main page. There you can easily search for types of jobs and location, and hopefully find your dream job at Amazon.
